About the Academy
As we continue to grow and expand, our mission is to provide our community with educational opportunities for adults and youths, including workshops, singular classes and series, intensives, and retreats, all while guiding our students along their unique and sacred paths.
Academy programs take place at The Grove, the Bell and Raven’s annex space, located directly adjacent to the shop.
The Bell & Raven Academy of Magick offers a variety of metaphysical education programs for those who are committed to starting or continuing their journey with spirituality and/or the Craft.

Youth Summer Program 2024
Our 2024 Youth Summer Program at the Academy will offer three one-week, half-day sessions for ages 11 - 15. This program is geared toward individuals who are committed to learning about a variety of metaphysical subjects.
Session 1: July 22 - 26
Session 2: July 29 - August 2
Session 3: August 5 - 9
Spaces for each session are limited and our admission process is application-only.
Our class day begins at 12:00 PM and ends at 4:00 PM. Students will meet at The Grove, the Bell and Raven’s new event and meeting space right next door to the shop! Days at the Academy will consist of instructional sessions, guest speakers, and hands-on activities covering a bevy of topics like working with crystals, astrology, divination, energy cleansing, intention-setting, and more. In addition, students will enjoy walking trips to local historical sites to learn about Simsbury’s connection to the Connecticut Witch Trials.
Adult Summer Program 2024
Our 2024 Summer Program for adults will run from August 5 - 9. This program is geared toward individuals who have a keen interest in deepening their connection to magickal practices and expanding their understanding of a variety of metaphysical topics. No prior experience is required; just a thirst for metaphysical knowledge and an open mind!
2024 Adult Session: August 5 - 9 | Mon - Fri, 6 - 9pm
Spaces are very limited - early registration is encouraged.
The program will meet Monday through Friday from 6pm - 9pm. Each evening will incorporate metaphysical lessons, magical crafts & practices, guided meditation and/or journaling sessions, & introspective work as well as group discussions. Participants will engage in a variety of topics like divination, crystal and plant magick, creating sacred spaces, spiritual self-care, the wheel of the year, deity work, astrology, energy healing, and more.
Tuition includes all program materials and an Academy of Magick tote bag.
Adult summer program tuition:
$475 Regular tuition
$425 Early Bird tuition*

The Academy’s application process is two-fold. After applicants submit their application and it is approved by our team, they will be contacted to schedule an interview with Academy Elder, Ms. Isabel. The interview’s purpose is to get to know the applicant better, their interests (metaphysical or other), and their goals should they attend the Academy.
We would love to have the capacity and resources to accept any and all who apply, but at this time our class size is limited. Applicants who are not accepted are more than welcome to re-apply for later sessions.

Youth Program Application Process
The deadline for applications for the 2024 Youth Summer Program is June 30, 2024.
There is no cost to apply.
Youth Program Interview Dates
After you finish your application and it’s reviewed by our team, you will be contacted to schedule an interview.
We are able to accommodate interviews via Zoom for out-of-state applicants. More information regarding the interview process and scheduling is provided within the application.
Youth Program Tuition
Session 1: July 17 - 21: $350
Session 2: July 24 - 28: $350
Session 3: August 1 - 5: $350
Please note that the Academy does not provide lunch - students should plan to have lunch before arriving at the program each day. Students should, however, bring a dry snack and water bottle with them.

Accepted Students
After receiving their official letter of acceptance, students will receive an informational packet that includes a more detailed schedule, pick-up and drop-off information, consent forms, a supply list, and more. In order for a student to be officially enrolled in the Academy, forms included in this packet must be returned to or mailed to The Bell & Raven with tuition payment no later than July 1, 2024. More information regarding this will be included in the student’s acceptance letter.

Admission is based on application and interview. Each application is reviewed by our Academy Elder, Ms. Isabel. Eligibility for enrollment is based on the results of both of these, neither being more impactful than the other.

Acceptance decisions are not made until all applications have been received and all interviews have been conducted. All those invited to enroll in the Academy will be notified of their acceptance on the same day.

Yes. We require our applicants to interview because we believe that you are so much more than what you put on paper! For this reason, our Academy Elder, Ms. Isabel, will meet with you face-to-face before acceptance decisions are made.

Past experience/knowledge is not greatly considered in the application process. While we love when students arrive with some knowledge of things, acceptance is based more on interest, passion, and dedication - regardless of whether this is all new to you or not!
