Our Story

It begins from the time before we are born, and it exists in our souls, hearts, and minds. When we were young, we thrived on this magic and welcomed its spark of illumination within our imagination and creative spirit. The magic beckoned us to chase fireflies and build sandcastles and play make-believe. It infused in us a giddy sense of wonder as we dreamed of the astonishing marvels that we might be able to conjure up next.

But as we grew up, outside forces edged their way into our minds. Silently working to push our magic down, trying to make us forget that we possess it, these outside forces ultimately plot toward the singularly ominous goal of banishing magic from our worlds completely.

And so, we become grown-ups, and we accept that we have neither the space nor the time among the daily tedium of life for such foolery as “magic”.

What we are not told, however, is that the true foolery is the notion that magic is not real.

If we look back upon our days of wonder and awe that we experienced as children, we realize that wonder and awe are rooted in magic. Magic grows within us, and its roots are so deep that it is, in fact, invincible. Each of us has the ability to reach in and connect with that magic once again, and the ability to uncover what outside forces have tried in vain to suppress.

Magic comes in all forms: It exists in our connection with nature, and it exists in the relationships we forge and share with our loved ones. It exists in the cultivation of an art form or hobby, and it exists when we practice our craft. Magic can be found in a warm cup of tea while curled up in a favorite chair, or in between the pages of a good book. It can be found in the sounds and sensations that reawaken our warmest and most cherished memories. Magic can be found in a smile, in a message, in a symbol, or in an intention.

Magic is everywhere, and that is because it is within every one of us.
